WHAT IS NUTRITION IN FOOD ?

 

Food Nutrition science focuses largely on regular, preventive, clinical and dietary concerns of a living being. Along with this it also looks into health issues surrounding food, eating allowances and medicine properties. It’s a multi-faceted field that is rooted in bio-chemistry, biology along with the socio-psycho  sciences.

 

Nutrition in different agro climatic science & also includes the study of body behaviours and socio-cultural life style factors related to food choices.

 

The need for greater collaboration between food technologist & nutritionist, particularly in the current environment is very imperative & critical where food policy and regulations depend upon understanding the science surrounding these often competing disciplines without aware nutrition they both cannot live without each other which is a mandatory relationship because final objective of food is to be delivered to the needed is to offer “Nutrition to Live”.

 

Nutrition science and food science and technology each have what might be termed semi-permeable membranes that form the boundaries of the disciplines. Working together across these boundaries continues to lead to the development of healthful foods and healthier people.
